You have heard the cliché comments, such as “live, laugh, and love,” or, “you never know what tomorrow will bring so live for today.” While they sound silly when you hear them so often, these comments are absolutely true. You should live, laugh, and love, and it’s true that you never know what will happen. Instead of rolling your eyes next time you hear something like these quotes, stop and think about how it can apply to your life.
Live, Laugh, Love
No matter what you have gone through or what has happened to you, a perfectly timed joke or off-hand comment can make a world of difference in your mood. Laughter is indeed the best medicine, because it heals your heart and fills your mind with positive thoughts. Some people are even innately wired to deal with tough situations through laughter and making others chuckle. So, go ahead. Invest in those NFL cornhole boards for giggles. Or, try on that Speedo you have outgrown to make your spouse burst out in hearty chuckles. Go with it, laugh freely, and heal your wounds.
Love Can Change How You View the World
There are dozens of different kinds of love, from the love and bond you have with your mother, to the love you have for your own children, to the love you have for your pets, and the romantic love you have for your spouse. It varies, but the feelings are similar. And love, regardless of what kind it is, can change your perspectives. So, when you love deeply, you entirely flip your views of the world, becoming more positive because love makes you feel elated.
It’s Okay to Be Adventurous and Dreamy
Adventure comes with being dreamy and living life in a creative free-flow. But the concept of adventure changes from one person to the next, so don’t feel discouraged if your ideas are adventure are different than someone else’s. While one person might love to climb cliffs and jump out into raging waterfalls, your idea of adventure could be a backyard battle with your kids, NERF blasters and all. Never, ever shy away from being adventurous and dreamy, because sometimes these are the two things that keep you going after a rough day, week, month…life.
Live, laugh, love. Cliché but true. When you feel down, stressed, or have simply given up, look back to the aforementioned article for inspiration to keep trekking forward.
