When Dindin woke up this morning, we snuggled and tickled and exchanged good mornings. I also did our ritual of kissing her different body parts–face, neck, back, toes, etc. etc. After all that, she lied down on her back and relaxed. I lied down beside her with my face just inches from her. I smiled at her and she smiled back. What happened next blew me away.
She looked at me intently, gently pushed away the wisps of hair that were covering my face, and said, “I am happy….*pause for a few moments while gathering her thoughts*…when you are happy…”
Waaaaa My tears almost fell. My baby just told me that she is happy when I am happy…Awwww…Dindin, you just don’t know how happy you made Mama feel today. I love you, Baby…To which she would always reply, “I love you, too.”
Too bad not many people see this, because Dindin might seem quite “astig” but if it is just the three of us, she is really very sweet and thoughtful, feeding us, wanting us to feel good. I guess that’s how she sees us, I mean how we care for her, and she is just reciprocating it or following our example. 😀
P.S. The photo above is our recent pic. Just don’t mind how fatty Mama is in the picture wahahaha
