Dindin is one year, 7 months and 2 weeks old.

Today is Dindin’s first time to eat chocolate. It is her Papa’s birthday today and so I cooked tuna spaghetti, Singaporean spare ribs and baked herb chicken. Then our our dessert was chocolate.

She took three teeny weeny bites of white chocolate with rice crispies from her Lolo Tatay’s white chocolate candy bar (Choco Mucho). Tatay hurriedly finished eating the bar lest Dindin might eat some more.

This may come as a surprise for us because Dindin never did like chocolate. Whenever we are eating chocolate, she would attempt to eat but if ever we offer her a bite, she would refuse it. So we were really surprised that she asked chocolate from her Lolo. After all, just a few minutes before that, I offered her mine and she refused. And we all know that Dindin refuses to eat food given to her by others.

But after her nibbles of chocolate, she went on to drink about 2 oz of water straight up. Then she did arm circling, marching, jog in place, hop and skip, and jumping jack for about 10-12 minutes. It was either because she got hyperactive from the sugar content of the chocolate bar or she was just afraid that she would get fat because of the chocolate she ate. And so she tried to burn off the extra calories. Knowing Dindin, it was probably the latter.
