Fun Time at the Park

flying

Dindin's shrieks and laughter just fills my heart.

One night a couple of weeks ago, I felt cooped up at home that I just dropped everything that I did and asked my hubby if we could go to the Capitol Lagoon here in Bacolod City. Many people would go there at night to stroll, to take brisk walks, or just to talk. They even feed the fish that are kinda resident pets of the lagoon.

This place is just about two blocks away from our house but we seldom come here because we are also busy. I just hope that we can go more often this summer so that at least, we can have a change of scenery.

Dindin had one thing in mind–to dance ballet. And so she did. Then we walked one time around the lagoon before we finally settled on a bench. But Dindin did not want that. She wanted to fly. And so she did again, courtesy of her Papa. He need not have personal trainer certifications in order to carry Dindin and make her happy.

Ahhh…these are precious moments that I would like to do more often. :D

Keeping Coins in a Real Piggy Bank

piggy bank

A piggy bank from Insular Life.

As many of you know, Dindin likes saving money. When I started her on coin banks, she got sort of addicted to it that whenever she finds coins lying on our desk, she would surely put them inside her coin banks.

And today, we got this new piggy bank as a gift from Insular Life. It’s so adorable and Dindin loves it so much! She keeps on stroking the body like it was a stuffed toy. This gift was just timely because her bear coin bank is already full and her other Pooh bank is almost full. So we started putting money on piglet tonight. Dindin likes to call her bank “Piglet” and she would not want any other name for it. LOL

Dindin is very prudent with money. She hardly asks us to buy her anything. And she would rather save her money than spend it. hehe

Thank you Insular Life for this lovely piggy bank!

Third Birthday Photos

Tinkerbell birthday cake

Tinkerbell birthday cake from Honey Cakes.

We celebrated Dindin’s third birthday last Sunday at my parents’ house with some of our closest friends, neighbors, and relatives. It was a simple celebration, but thanks to everyone who chipped in, it became a really beautiful party. Special thanks to my parents who contributed much to the menu and who turned my simple menu into a feast for many, to Marz Ruby for ordering a special Tinkerbell tutudress from Charlotte Victoria for Dindin, for the two-tiered Tinkerbell cake from Honey Cakes, to Tito Ian for bringing the trampolineand party tables and chairs over, to Tita Daphne for hosting the party (interested parties to get her as party host can approach me nyahahah), to Tita Ellen who took it upon herself to be the official photographer of the day, to Tita Everly who helped in some of the balloon decors, to Tita Wilma and Lola Cora who also helped in the kitchen, to Tita Saling and Tita Lilia who has worked for days, and of course, to everyone who partied with us. Thank you, too for all the gifts. Dindin just oohed and aahed every every present opened. From the practical to the whimsical and fancy, we love them all! :D

I would just like to mention my new online friend Liza from Bauang, La Union whom I just met last week and who sent a giggling bunny for Dindin as present. I just remembered that when Dindin was almost a year old, my aunt Olivia from the US also sent Dindin a cute bunny. On her second birthday, her Achiak Mike gave her a dancing bunny, and now on her third birthday, Dindin has a giggling bunny! LOL

Well, here are the rest of the pixes. :D

The weather was so unpredictable that Sunday but in the end, during the party, we were blessed with good weather. Too bad though that I got so stressed with rearranging everything up to the last minute. But well, all in all, we had so much fun! :D
