Quite obvious, Dindin likes to sing. And she sings just about anything, including the official Korean song of the Koreanovela, “What’s for Dinner?”
Anyway, on several occasions, Dindin just belted out songs that were appropriate for the situation. There was one time that the three of us were in the car. We came from somewhere and we were ranting about the details of the meeting and mentioning names. Dindin was quiet for we don’t know how long until she suddenly sang a song from Hi-5, “L-O-V-E, I Love you and you love me…L-O-V-E, Love.” We laughed and stopped talking. She was right, if probably we loved, we would not be complaining. LOL Good one, Din!
On another situation, Tatay and Nanay rode with us. While they were seated at the back, Nanay was ranting about something. She kept on talking and talking. Dindin looked over my shoulder to see Nanay and started singing, “Sana’y pag-ibig na lang ang isipin, Ng bawat isa sa mundo…(translation: I wish people in the world would only think about love” wahahahaha We laughed and so Nanay stopped ranting. There was also one time that Nanay was ranting again and when she paused after several paragraphs to catch her breath, Dindin just exclaimed, “Amen!” hahaha Nanay could not just continue. weeeeeee
Tonight, I was feeling bad. I felt really down and tired to the point of crying. Dindin said, “Mama is crying.” Upon her Papa’s suggestion, she hugged me and kissed me. But then I told her, “Din please sing for Mama,” thinking that her song would cheer me up and it did. Like a push-button player, she immediately belted out her DVBS song, “Heaven’s league, winning for Jesus…” etc. etc. I was so relieved that I smiled. It was like Dindin was telling me that I am part of heaven’s league and that our lives are winning for Jesus. It means that I do not have to be brought down by circumstance but that I have to win over it with and for Jesus. Nice one, Din! You really the mark. 😀
An update: Today, I learned a not-so-nice piece of new again and that made my cry. Dindin must’ve heard by sobs and she came to me, “Uh-oh…Mama’s crying.” She then grabbed the flashlight and used it as a microphone and sang, “You are holy…holy…Lord of heaven and earth..” Awww sweetie, thanks for having more faith than Mama.
